SHREVEPORT, LA - The home going celebration services for Flossie Terry Thomas, 98, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2004 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church, Belcher, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Deloris Williams of St. Paul C.M.E. Church and Rev. Clarence Glover, Jr. of First African Freedom Church in Dallas, Texas. Interment will follow in St. Paul C.M.E. Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benevolent Funeral Home, Milam Street. Mrs. Thomas was born April 4, 1905 and she entered into rest Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Highland Christus Schumpert. She is a native of Rockingham, North Carolina but she was a resident of Los Angeles, California for more than 30 years and then she became a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana for 27 years. She was a former elementary school teacher and a devoted housewife. She also loved to sew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Hattie Terry and her 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Napoleon Thomas; great niece, Linda Flakes Kim and great nephew, Andrew Flakes of New Jersey and a host of other relatives and friends. Flossie Thomas was a devoted and loving wife, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Barksdale and his staff, Highland Christus Schumpert, and Goodman Plaza friends and staff. Benevolent Funeral Home 221-1627
