Samuel Edmund Boyd, 72, of Toms River, NJ, passed away at home on August 8th, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
Sam was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts to Alex and Elsie Boyd. He lived in Massachusetts, and Cranford, NJ, before moving to Toms River in 1971.
Mr. Boyd served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant, and the Air National Guard 108th, in-flight refueling operator and retired as Master Sergeant. He was a Welder Fabricator for 43 years. Sam enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his loving grandchildren.
Sam is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Elfriede Boyd; his son Samuel of Oakland Park, FL; his two daughters: Christine Boyd of Howell, and Jennifer and her husband Jason Vigneault of Bayville; his two grandchildren: Troy and Lea; and his two sisters Lorraine Ohngemach of Cranford and Lucy Fenn of Hackettstown.
