MILLER — Dolores M. Gilmore, 79, of Miller died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at her home.

Celebration of life services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Miller United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bonnie Brock officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Merna Cemetery.
Iverson Memorial Chapel in Broken Bow is in charge of arrangements.

Dolores Maxine Mason was born Aug. 18, 1935, to Vada Beryl Stirrat and Fred Floyd Mason. Dolores was the third child of 13. Dolores lived in several towns before the family settled in Callaway when she was 14.

Dolores stayed with an aunt in Pawnee City through high school and graduated in 1953. After graduation, she worked as a lab technician for Drs. Anderson and Stewart. While in Pawnee City, she met her husband. They were married in 1954, and they later divorced. To this union, five sons were born: Fred LeRoy, Paul Otis, Dale Wayne, Joel Glen and Kurt Alan.

Dolores moved to Merna in 1968 and went to work for BD in March 1969 and remained there until July 2001.

Dolores was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also enjoyed her yard and flowers. When she could no longer work in her yard, she moved to Miller to be near her grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by one son, Paul and his wife, Susan, of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters-in-law, Rhonda of Miller, Cindy of Kearney and Renee of Miller; nine granddaughters; five grandsons; four great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores also is survived by her siblings, La Verne Dodge of Callaway, Vera Russell and her husband, Perry, of New Mexico, William Mason and his wife, Tagi, of Alaska, Edwin Mason and his wife, Mary, of Sargent, Clifton Mason and his wife, Arnie, of Brush, Colo., and Myron Mason and his wife, Barbra, of Anselmo; and sister-in-law, Carol Mason of Callaway.

Dolores was preceded in death by four sons, three sisters, three brothers, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law and her parents.
