Miss Alma May DeMoranville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund DeMoranville of South Main Street, Assonet, a sophomore at B.M.C. Durfee High School until forced by illness to give up her studies last December, died at a Boston hospital yesterday in her 17th year, following a short illness.

She was a graduate of the Forge School in Assonet with the Class of 1937.

Surviving are her parents, three brothers, Nathan, Vernon, and Arthur DeMoranville; and four sisters, the Misses Irene, Audrey, Edith, and Marion DeMoranville.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with prayers at the home and services at 2 at the First Christian Church, Assonet, with Rev. Clarence F. Gifford, minister, officiating. Interment will be in the Assonet Cemetery.

Funeral services for Miss Alma May DeMoranville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund F. DeMoranville of South Main Street, Assonet, took place at the First Christian Church, Assonet, yesterday afternoon. Rev. Clarence F. Gifford, pastor of the Assonet Congregational and Christian churches, officiated.

Members of the local Girl Scout Troop, of which Miss DeMoranville was a member, were present, with their captain. Bearers were Ralph Holdsworth, David Terry, Vernon and Nathan DeMoranville, Elvin Roberts, and Harold Holdsworth. Burial was in Assonet Cemetery.
