Robert “Bob” Mahan, 81, of Melber, KY, passed away at 12:30 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Arbor Place of Clinton.

Bob was born July 9, 1933 in Evansville, IN to Ben and Anna Marie Mahan. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a long time church member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah, KY. He was employed by Eastman Kodak Company as well as IBM, where he retired after twenty four years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of fifty nine years, Viola Broderhausen Mahan, of Melber, KY; his daughter, Mary Anderson and husband Blake, of Benton, KY; his son, Mark R. Mahan and wife Stephanie, of Symsonia, KY; his brother, Byron Mahan and wife Linda, of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Madison and Hayden Anderson, Charlie and Amber Reid, Madison, Kannon and Olivia Mahan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Hancock Mahan and Anna Marie Rosemeier Mahan; and one daughter, Lori Mahan

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:30 am at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Rev. David Appold will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 9:30 until service time at 11:30 am at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
