Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. She will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at York Terrace Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, with Sammy Wallace officiating.
Mrs. Norton was a native of Colbert County and a member of York Terrace Baptist Church. She was a telephone pioneer with BellSouth.
She is survived by her husband, Henry F. Norton; daughter, Brenda N. Wilbanks and husband, Don; two grandchildren, Matthew Wilbanks and wife, Emily, and Michael Wilbanks and wife, Erin; and three great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Rachel and Steven Wilbanks.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
