Jared Ephriam Badger
1977 - 2014

Early Life: Jared was born February 3, 1977, in Provo, Utah, to Catherine and Farrell Badger of Mapleton, Utah. He was the oldest of 11 children. He grew up in Springville, Utah, where he had many wonderful friends. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lithuania.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Jared married Megan Killpack in the Manti Utah LDS Temple; they were later divorced. Jared was a devoted father to his two identical twin daughters Lauren and Leanna Badger, lovingly referred to as the "chiclets." He lived in Midvale, Utah, where he made a career doing what he excelled at, computer infrastructure and security. He was employed as the Senior IT Director of Infrastructure at Progressive Financial. He had a brilliant mind that allowed him to pick up almost any knowledge with ease. His days of formal schooling pretty much ended in junior high, even though he occasionally attended high school and Brigham Young University. An entire night reading complex technical books was his preferred method of learning. In the Missionary Training Center, others would wonder how he was learning Lithuanian without much study. He mastered it and prided himself on a near native accent. He also picked up piano the same way. Jared lived his life to the fullest as he pursued diverse passions from family history, to rock climbing, computers, astronomy and camping along with many others. He also just completed the St. George Marathon this last weekend. He traveled extensively, including trips to Africa, Brazil, Ireland and Jamaica, among others. Jared Ephriam Badger passed away on Monday October 6, 2014. He was 37.
Survived By: His parents; his daughters: Lauren and Leanna Badger; ten younger siblings: Anna (Daniel) Seelos, Amy (Brent) Hedquist, Ryan Badger, Rachel (Patrick) Roundy, Jesse (Toni) Badger, Aaron (HaLee) Badger, Laurel (Dan) Kidd, Joel Badger, Ammon Badger and Heather Badger; 10 adoring nieces, nephews and three on the way.
