Joseph E. Johnson and Miss Ethel Griffith were married at All Saints Episcopal church Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock by Bishop Brook. The church was beautifully decorated with cut flowers and potted plants. The wedding ceremonies were held under a big floral bridal bell. The beautiful ring ceremony was used. the church was filled with friends. Immediately after the wedding the party was driven to the Bach where the evening was very pleasantly spent. At 10:55 Mr. and Mrs. Johnson left for Tuscumbie, Ala., the home of the groom, where several days will be spent. Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will take up their residence at the Griffith home. Dr. and Mrs. Griffith will spend the winter in New Mexico. The groom is one of McAlester's most popular young business men. He is owner and manager of the Choctaw Brokerage company and is a young man of sterling character and excellent ability. The bride is a charming and accomplished young lady who has a host of friends. She has resided in McAlester all her life and is known by her acquaintances as "A bunch of sunshine."
