Evelyn June Garrison, 85, died on October 7, 2014. She was born in Brownwood, TX to Charlie and Willie Mae Wagner on September 16, 1929. She married the love of her life, Clarence Garrison on April 26, 1948. He preceded her in death after 64 years, on November 23, 2012.

She became a LVN in 1968, but worked in nursery for 56 years, returning in 1999. She was employed at San Saba Memorial Hospital and Abilene Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong Baptist and currently a member of Belmont Baptist Church, where she was known as the "Pin Lady".

Her focus was loving people and anyone who met her loved her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lanny Joe, her parents, two brothers, and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter Clarice of the home, her sister Illa McMillian of Lubbock and several nieces and nephews.

The family appreciates the care of Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Heaven, Dr. Hall and the staff of ARMC and Mesa Springs. No flowers are requested. Please donate to your favorite charity.

Funeral services are scheduled on Friday, October 10, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Netherton Funeral Home, 1412 Bell Plain in Brownwood, preceded by a visitation at 1:00 p.m. and followed by burial at Jordan Springs in Brownwood. Arrangements were made by Heartland Funeral Home.
