MADELINE WALLS THOMPSON, 90, of Memphis, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Memphis. Mrs. Thompson, a graduate of Hughes High School in Hughes, AR, worked as a bookkeeper for David V. Johnson, Inc. and as a medical assistant for Dr. David E. Wade. She was a member of Georgian Hills Baptist Church for 54 years. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Eugene Thompson, Sr., two sons, Martin Edward Thompson and Louis Eugene Thompson, Jr., and two sisters, Gwendolyn Hopper and Betty Hoagland. She is survived by her two sons, Richard A. Thompson and Johnny O. Thompson, her four daughters, Margaret A. Yopp, Pollye O. Christopher, Robin E. Thompson, and Betty Delancey, as well as nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 20, from 4-6 p.m. and a Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, July 21, at 10 a.m., all at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis.
