Blanche K. Miller was born April 15, 1920 near Hesston, Kansas, the daughter of Rudolph and Catherine (King) Blosser. On February 2, 1941 she was united in marriage to Alton B. Miller in Hesston. They moved to Iowa after their marriage and made their home in the Kinross, Wellman and Kalona communities. Blanche was a member of the Salem Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and making quilts. Blanche died on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 94 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alton; a son Gary Miller; 2 grandsons E. Zachary Gerten and Eric Miller; 4 brothers Byron, Melvin, Vernon and Virgil Blosser; and 3 sisters Thelma, Wilma and an infant.
