David Michael “Mick” Frederick was born on April 20, 1945 in Ogden, Utah, to Howard N. Frederick and Margaret E. Rice. He moved to Forest Grove, Oregon, at six months of age where he was raised. He played football and basketball and excelled in both sports. He graduated from Forest Grove Union High School in June, 1963. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1970. He was a CPA and had a practice in his home in Hillsboro, Oregon. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Norway. He married Mary Schouten on November 27, 1968 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He served as Bishop of the Evergreen Ward and devoted his life to serving others. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughters, Marella Eggeling (Hillsboro, OR), Amy Loomis (Rexburg, ID), Megan Conser (Beaverton, OR), and Bethany Frederick (Hillsboro, OR). He is survived by six grandsons and five granddaughters whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sisters, LaDonna Richardson and Linda Harper, and brother Richard Frederick.
