Barbara L. Anderson, age 70 of Rush City died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence.
Barbara was born on May 21, 1944 in Minneapolis to parents, Ernest and Eunice (Greenawalt) Ulness-Rubbelke. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School. After high school she worked in her mothers’ restaurant and later worked many years as a security guard in her brothers’ security company. She also spent time working at Pearson’s Candy Company and REO Plastics. She married Al Anderson on December 1, 1990 at their home in Moundsview.
She loved to dance to the 50’s and 60’s music of the “Rockin Hollywoods” as well as playing bingo and Farkle. She was a devoted member of her church and was the first person the pastor would call to start a prayer chain. She loved reading her bible and worshiping the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry.
Barb is survived by her husband, Al; children, Kathi (Bruce) Lawrence of Stacy; Rodney (Patty) Hunting of Cambridge; Randy (Brenda) Hunting of Las Vegas, NV and Kari Swanson (Shane) of St. Croix Falls; brother, Steven (Penny) Ulness of AZ; sisters, Janet (Dale) Auberg of UT; Delores Haubold of IL and Debbie (Jeff) Lessard of AZ; her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
