Connie R. Peterson, 78, of Belvidere went to heaven to be with her husband of 60 years, Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in the emergency room of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, following a sudden illness. Born April 20, 1936, in Geneva, Illinois; the daughter of George and Faye (Perkins) Miller, Sr. Connie grew up in St. Charles, Illinois, graduating from Geneva High School, Class of 1954. She married Lavern "Ole" Peterson in St. Charles, Illinois on June 19, 1954. Connie was employed as an operator for DeKalb Telephone Company. She attended Crosswind Community Church. Connie enjoyed listening to classic country and southern gospel music, attending county fairs, flower and vegetable gardening. To Connie, family was very important as she was the "glue".

She will be sadly missed by two sons, Darrin (Michele D.) Davis, of Belvidere, Mark (Michelle R.) Davis of Genoa, Illinois; close nephew, Larry (Debbie) Davis of Rochelle, IL; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Jenifer, Michael, Elizabeth, Erin, Carl, Michelle and Stephanie; two sisters, Donna (Jim) Nichols of Ethan, South Dakota, Barb (Jim) Vargovich of Sycamore, IL; two brothers, Daryl D. Miller of DeKalb, Illinois, Daryl G. Miller, Williams of Minnesota; brother-in-law, Jon Davis; sister-in-law, Susan Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Connie is preceded in death parents; husband "Ole"; sister, Sandra Miller Davis; and brother, George Miller, Jr.

Visitation 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014, in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Av., Belvidere, Illinois, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Freund, pastor of Crosswind Community Church, Genoa, Illinois, officiating.
