Beth Wright Vowles, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father and to her previously deceased husband, Gerald, and son, Rick, on Sunday, October 5, 2014 while surrounded by her loving family.

Beth was born in American Fork on November 21, 1932 to Emmitt and Adeline Wright. She attended school in Tooele.

She married her eternal companion, Gerald Vowles, on July 30, 1949 and was sealed to him for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 26, 1951. They made their home in Tooele with their three children, Cheryl, Rick (Charlene), and Justin (Kelly).

Beth lived a life of purpose exuding love and kindness to all she encountered.

While being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Beth found pleasure working at First Security Bank. She later worked at the Tooele Valley Nursing Home for twenty-seventh years in various positions, eventually retiring as the administrator in 1998. She cherished her relationships with the residents and staff that she loved so much.

Beth was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She shared her love of the gospel with her family, setting an example of living a life of Christ-like service. She served faithfully in her many church callings.

Beth always exuded sophistication and graciousness. She had a special ability to love everyone and bring out the best in people around her. She enriched our lives.

We are extremely blessed to have called her mom, grandma, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, until we meet again.

Beth is survived by her children, Cheryl Brown of LaGrande, Oregon; Charlene (Louie) and Brent (Bud) Bryan, both of Erda; and Justin and Kelly Vowles of Arvada, Colorado; her brother, Harvey (Connie) Wright, of Tooele; and grandchildren, William and children, Ben, Zac, and Sam; Heather and children, Preston, Lacey, Jamie, and Cody; Geremy and Jamie and children, Whitney and Gracie; Matthew and Jenny and children, Hunter, Averie, Quentin, and Quaid; Wade and Christina and children, Braden and Emma; Holli and Nate and children, Maycee, Gus, Ruby, and little Stella Beth; and Ethan and Adeline.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tooele Fourteenth Ward Chapel, 192 West 200 South Tooele. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main Street, Tooele, and prior to the services at the church on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
