Born November 27, 1927, in Geneva, San Augustine County, he was the son of James Benjamin and Alice Richardson Evans. Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Rash Evans; daughter, Annie Jean Evans; sisters, George Mae Harris, Gladys Martin and Bennie Faye Weir. Survivors include daughter, Alice Jean Sandler, Bobbie Ann Luman of Carthage, Ellen Janice Carlton of Jasper, Judy Faye Wolff of Brookland, Donice Smith of MNorgans Point, Eloise Kencel of Bronson, Elaine Ray of Deweyville and Edna Odessa Glass of Moscow; sons, Jimmy Glenn Evand of Carthage, James ray Evans of Buna, Marcus Wayne Evans of Center and Jeremy Lance Evans of Center; brothers, L.
