Services for Henry S. Hudson, 91, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Criswell
Chapel, Joe Hisle and Tony Peak officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park
Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Hudson died Sept. 15, 2002, at a local nursing facility.

He was born Nov. 10, 1910, near Russellville, Ark., to Andrew Jackson and
Tamsie Lucinda Simpson Hudson. He attended schools at Cook and Galey in western
Pontotoc County and Horace Mann and Byng. He was the chief of building and
maintenance at East Central University from 1950 until 1972. Previously, he had
owned a furniture store in Seminole in 1941 and began Hudson's Furniture in Ada
in 1951. He was a member of Lovelady Baptist Church and a World War II veteran
of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1944 until the end of the war. He served in
Guam. He married Luretha Eppler in 1932. She preceded him in death April 10,
1999, at Ada.

Survivors include three sons, Ted Hudson and Ken Hudson, both of Ada, and Tommy
Hudson, Eufaula; two daughters, Becky Clinton, Norman, and Paula Howry,
Ardmore; three sisters, Recy Hicks, Alturas, Calif., Mary Roberts, Shawnee, and
Vercie Bryant, Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandchild.

Bearers are grandsons, Jay Hudson, Jim Hudson, Thane Hudson, Ken Hudson Jr.,
Nathaniel Howry, Matthew Howry and Kendall Holland. Criswell Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
