Reagan was a sweet boy who loved all the things most 10-year-olds love. He enjoyed outdoor sports, and had lots of friends at school. And he was excited because he was going to go camping and hunting with his father! Reagan was in the company of his mother, Virginia Uden, and his older brother, Richard Uden, on September 12, 1980, when they stopped to visit at the home of Claire Martin, Virginia's mother, who lived in the vicinity of the 700 block of N. Federal Ct. in Riverton, Wyoming. It was approximately 1:30 PM that he was last seen alive as they were leaving his grandmother's home in their station wagon, en route to meet up with the boys' adoptive father, Gerald Uden, to go hunting. They were carrying a rifle for the hunt but, according to the boys' father, they never arrived at their meeting place. Their car was later found abandoned and vandalized on October 4, 1980, near Dickson Park Road and Trout Creek Canyon in the Wind River Canyon area of Fremont County, Wyoming, and traces of Virginia's blood were discovered inside the vehicle. Though a massive search was launched, the case went cold and the three were never heard from again. Along with his mother and brother, Reagan is presumed deceased, and his remains have never been found. This is his only place of remembrance.

Update October 1, 2013:
Arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of their respective former spouses and two children, are 71-year-old Gerald Uden and 74-year-old Alice L. Uden, both of Chadwick, Missouri.

Gerald Uden is charged with killing his former wife, Virginia, 32, and their two children, Richard, 12, and Reagan, 10. According to the court documents, Uden confessed to an investigator at his home Friday of taking his wife and children to an area near Pavillion and shooting them to death on Sept. 13, 1980 with a .22 caliber rifle his wife had bought so the family could go bird hunting. He then allegedly concealed the bodies.

The arrest of Uden's current wife, Alice Uden, concerns the disappearance of her former husband, 25-year-old Ronald Holtz, who disappeared three months after the couple were married in 1974. Holtz' remains were found this past month in an abandoned mine site in Laramie County. He had been shot in the head.
