Services for Myrtle Sloma Lorene DeLano, 83, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.C. Hamilton and the Rev. Ray Christian officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Born June 4, 1920, in Gans, Okla., to Oscar Marion Frances and Delpha Cordilla Rogers Gober, she died Dec. 18, 2003, at her residence.
She was raised and attended school in Drumwright and was married to Olin Arthur DeLano there on Dec. 24, 1936. They moved to Healdton in 1936. She was a member of the Christ's Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; her parents; four brothers and eight sisters.
She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Vonciel DeLano, Healdton, Gale and Ginny DeLano, Irvington, Ky., and John L. and Carolyn, Lone Grove; two daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Fred Way, and Janie and Guy Simon, all of Healdton; two brothers, John Gober and Hubert Gober, both of Oklahoma City; a sister, Pauline Owens, Parsons, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Tony Choate, Steven DeLano, Danny Long, Miles Way, Benny Fletcher, Shaun Choate and Justin Simon. Honorary bearers are granddaughters, Tammy DeLano, Connie Simon, Marty Fletcher, Summer McKinnon, Misty McAlister, Carrie Eddy, Cathy Warren and Autumn Simon.
