She was born August 12, 1925 in Crawford County to the late Milton and Bertha (Huber) Cole and was graduated from Leesville High School in 1943. Bernice also attended the Mansfield Business College from which she graduated in 1944.
On April 15, 1945 she married AIvin Webb, the couple resided many years in Mansfield, moving to rural Bellville in 1959. Together they celebrated nearly 50 years of marriage before Al passed away in September of 1994.
Bernice worked in the offices of the Barnes Manufacturing Co. and the Caldwell Bloor Co. However, she dedicated her life to caring for her family.
She enjoyed birds, flowers and country living, as well as solving word puzzles. Tender hearted she loved her three cats Ozzie, Sandy, and Cutie.
Bernice was a faithful member of New Life Church of Christ where she was a member of the Fun-N-Friendship Club and Christian Women’s Connection.
She is survived by her children, Jonathan and his wife Debbie Webb of Mt. Shasta, California, Sheila Allen of Denver, Colorado, and Bernalle Webb of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Amanda, Sally, and Sarah; five great grandchildren; special friends Dicie Hatten and Mary Carrol; special sister-in-law Mary Alice Schroeder; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Along with her husband Al, she was preceded in death by her infant son Barry Douglas Webb.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 10, 2014 from 4-7 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am. Pastor Steve Kistler will officiate and burial will follow in Biddle Cemetery.
