Jennie was a known for beading, sewing boots and mittens and for her Athabascan cultural knowledge as a bilingual teacher at the Allakaket School.
She lived a subsistence lifestyle by hunting and fishing all her life. She was a good cook and fed lots of people. She loved all children, raised four children and was cherished by all. She was homemaker, firefighter and served in the Episcopal Church, St. John's in the Wilderness.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents Eva David and South Fork David, husband Arthur Williams, sisters Rita and Mary, son Arthur Williams Jr. and daughter Ethel May.
She is survived by her longtime companion Joe Andre, her brother David (Kitty) David, children Elsie (Kenneth) Bergman, Catherine (Ray) Moses, Marvin and Gary Williams; grandchildren: Jenevie "Star" Burgess, Natasha (Dabee) Williams and Tara Williams, Thelma, Charlotte Susan, Walter, Alex and Douglas; great-grandchildren Tajhana, Avaiya, Drox, Elizabeth, Keara, Aiyana, Leah, Chase, Thomas, Tyler, Tia, Alex Jr., Juliette, Crystal, Mike and Elisa. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews through Mary, David, and Rita.
A memorial service will be held today at the Fairbanks Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Allakaket at the St. John's in the Wilderness Episcopal Church. Burial and potlatch following.
Jennie had made many friends of all ages and will be missed by all who have been blessed by her company.
