Karen Holt Hale, 71, of Collierville, Tenn., passed away on June 16, 2008, at the Baptist Hospital Collierville.
She was a retired editor. She graduated from Marked Tree High School in Marked Tree, Ark., and attended the University of Arkansas and Memphis State, and was a member and sang in the choir for 25 years at the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church and she was a volunteer at the Church Health Center in Memphis.
Her service will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Collierville Funeral Home, with a gathering with the family starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is the widow of Robert L. Hale III.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana (Jack) Parker of Collierville, Tenn.; her son, Robert B.C. (Debbie) Hale of Collierville; two sisters, Vicka Durby of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Lynn Remenih of South Bend Ind.; one brother-in-law, William (Patty) Hale of Memphis; and one grand daughter, Sara Kathryn Parker. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church Health of Memphis. Collierville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
