George R.Pruitt - age 85 of Lenoir City, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2014 at his home. George was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Army. He was a member and Deacon of Kingston Pike Baptist Church and a member of Avery Masonic Lodge #593 F & AM. He retired from the University of Tennessee Maintenance Dept.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Pruitt; his infant daughter, Brenda J. Pruitt; parents, George M. and Bonnie J. Rogers Pruitt; step father, Lee Green and step sister, Shirley Briley. Survived by his son, George Randall Pruitt of Charlotte, NC , daughter, Lisa Rolen of Lenoir City; grandson, Joshua Ray Rolen and wife, Ashley; great grandson, Parker Rolen; great granddaughter, Shaella Mae Rolen; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 7th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Ronny Jones officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m. Serving as pallbearers: Randy Pruitt, Josh Rolen, Kevin Bolden, Herb Sarten, C. A. Wilson and Willard Rollins. Military honors will be conferred by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard.
