Died Very Suddenly
William, the sixteen year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Gottlieb Haas, residing on Howard Street, died very suddenly at his home on Friday afternoon about half past four, after a brief attack of appendicitis. He was working on the Huckle farm west of town, and on Sunday complained of not feeling well. His parents were informed and had brought him to town. On Wednesday he was much better and on Thursday he was up town and around as usual. On Friday he had a reccurance of the sharp pain accompanied by violent vomiting and in spite of the efforts of the physician in attendance he grew rapidly worse.
William was born in Le Mars on October 20, 1884. He was a hard working and industrious boy and his early death is deeply deplored by his relatives and friends. The funeral was held on Monday morning at St. John's Lutheran church on the corner of Howard and Fifth Streets.
