He was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Tyler County, son of the late Irvin F. and Leona M. Steed Richmond. He spent his life as a farmhand on various farms in and around Ritchie County and he greatly loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving caretaker and niece, Patricia D. Richmond of Smithville; brother, Samuel A. Richmond of Smithville; sisters, Iva M. Sinnett of Harrisville and Carolyn Cottrill and her husband, Gary of Pennsboro; girlfriend of 40 years, Joan Sayers of St. Marys and her four children, Carolyn Sayres of St. Marys, Peg and Neal Satterfield of Pennsboro and Tom and Frank Sayres of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia McGuire and Julie Ramsey, and brothers Paul and Harold Richmond.
Funeral services were Sunday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Darrell Farley officiating. Burial followed in the Deem Cemetery in Beatrice.
