He was born in Altoona, son of the late William Lambert and Margretta C. (Cartwright) Fink. On June 20, 1958, he married Barbara Ann Yohn in Greenwood, and she preceded him in death April 11, 2005.
Surviving are four children: Ronald Richard Fink Jr. (Amy Schraff) of Altoona, Cristina M. Ryan (George Chestnut) of New Bethlehem, Juanita A. (Dale) Harten and Rhonda L. Fink (Chris Burk), all of Altoona; nine grandchildren: Mark Fink (Brandi Feathers), Kristopher (Elizabeth) Fink, Ronald Fink III, Joshua Harten, Danielle (Jeremy) Molina, Amber Fink, Michael Ryan (Brittany Vrana), Justin (Kayla) Fink and Brandon Fink; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Shirley Stotler, Joann Gilbert and infant Carol Jean; and a brother, William Fink Ronald was U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the Altoona Shoe Factory as a cutter and gluer, after 24 years of service.
He enjoyed taking spontaneous car rides to wherever he felt he wanted to go at the time.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2019, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Richard Harter officiating. Interment will be made at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations please be made to the American Cancer Society, Blair Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
