Jimmy Wayne Rhodes, 68, a resident of Bay Village, Arkansas, departed this life, Monday, October 6, 2014, in Jonesboro.
He was born on July 12, 1946, in Wynne, Arkansas, the son of David Troy and Kathryne Elizabeth Patterson Rhodes.
Jimmy married Ms. Priscilla Hogan on April 16, 1992.
He was a 1964 Graduate of Harrisburg High School, member of Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne, Arnold Farms Hunting Club, volunteer first responder, volunteer with Bay Village Fire Department and former Constable of Cold Water. He worked as maintenance supervisor for Halstead retiring in 1998. His co-workers said he was a great leader and teacher of skills in the work place. Jimmy enjoyed deer hunting and was very active with the Bay Village Fire Department. He loved his grandbabies and was an awesome husband, dad, brother, and Papaw.
Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his parents and grandson: Cody Lee.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of twenty-two years: Priscilla Rhodes of the home, one son: Nick Browning and his wife Shelly of Paragould, Arkansas, two daughters: Christy Rhodes of Wynne, Arkansas, Kim Burnett and fiancée` Jerry Mross of Bay Village, Arkansas, two brothers: Ron Rhodes of Tomball, Texas, Rick Rhodes of Wylie, Texas, one sister: Elizabeth Stafford of Wynne, Arkansas, eight grand-children, and a special Nephew: Bill Ellstrom.
Funeral services were held at the Three Trees Cowboy Church in Wynne. Burial was in Bay Village Cemetery, directed by Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
