Richard F. "Rick" Baugniet, Jr., age 34, of 145 W. Church St., Mishicot, died Saturday evening, December 5, 1992, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 9, 1992, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. John Sauser will officiate with burial following in the parish cemetery.
He was born December 9, 1957, at Mishicot, son of Richard F. Baugniet Sr. and Sally Ray Baugniet. He graduated from Mishicot High School and received his bachelor degree in music from Lawrence University and his masters degree from the University of Illinois. He worked at the F.W. Baugniet Mink Ranch where he was part owner. He taught music at St. Francis Cabrini School, Manitowoc and also Holy Cross School, Mishicot.
He was active in the TRACTS Theatre Group. He played Captain Von Trapp in the "Sound of Music" at the Capitol Civic Centre. He played Abe Lincoln in "The World of Carl Sandburg" at the Capitol Civic Centre and Dinner Theatre at Shoto. Rick played trumpet with the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble and the Manitowoc Marine Band. He was a former member of the Manitowoc Drum and Bugle Corps. He also was a former recipient of a scholarship through the Interlochen Music Camp and subsequient (sic) counselor at the camp.
Survivors include his parents at Mishicot; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Debbie Baugniet, Sheboygan, Christopher Baugniet, Mishicot, and Michael and Gwen Baugniet Mishicot; his grandfather, Robert Ray, Milwaukee; aunt and uncle, Patricia and Allan Ray Krause, Milwaukee; great aunt and uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces; special friend, Bill Becker and many other friends.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday December 8, 1992, and Wednesday until we leave for the church at 10 a.m. A parish memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
