She was born in Habersham County to William Edgar and Frances Shirley Dooly. She married Oner Taylor around 1931 and they had two children, Harold Duncan and Doris Anne.

She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, and was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Monterey Cason, of Southfield, MI.

Survivors include: a son, Duncan Taylor of Demorest and a daughter, Doris A. Lyles of Alexandria, VA; two grandsons, Gary Taylor of Clayton and Danny Woodall of Fredericksburg, VA; three great grandsons, Dallas Taylor of Clayton, and Justin and Joshua Woodall of Fredericksburg, VA.

She was laid to rest beside her father in the Ebenezer Church cemetery, Hollywood, GA.
