On the evening of October 2, 2014, her eternal sweetheart, Reed Kay Williams came and took Elnora by the hand and led her home.
Elnora (Lnora) Woolsey Williams was born May 15, 1929 in Escalante, Utah to Tillman and Alcea Heaps Woolsey. When she was 6, her mother passed away and she went to live with her Aunt Grace and Uncle Ralph Baker in Teasdale, Utah. This is where she learned to be a hard worker and an immaculate housekeeper. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1947, and Utah Trade Technical Institute in 1965.
On May 21, 1947 she married Reed Kay Williams in the Manti Temple. They moved to Spanish Fork, Utah December 21, 1955. After Dad’s passing in 2006, Mom sold the family home and moved to Payson, Utah. They are the parents of six children: Dorothy (Brent) Hales, Riverton; Jane (Jack) Topham, Salem; Geraldine (Steve) Lawrence, Tooele; Ronald (Barbara) Williams, Spanish Fork; Wendell (JanaLee) Williams, Benjamin; Edith (Lee) Brown, Hooper.
She will be remembered for the kind service she provided as a nurse at Mtn. View Hospital. She helped with the delivery of many babies including 17 of her grandchildren. In 2010 she became a Foster Grandparent at Barnett Elementary in Payson and was loved by all the children. Elnora was a faithful member of the LDS Church, served as a Temple Worker and in other callings. She enjoyed going with Dad to their cabin in Indianola, Utah. Mom sewed many of our clothes, made many quilts for her children and grandchildren, crocheted afghans, learned to play the organ after retiring and enjoyed working with Dad in their garden. She was happiest when she could spend time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, 28 grandchildren and 62 great grandchildren; brothers, Dewey Woolsey, Donald (Heidi) Woolsey-Cowles, Milton (Joyce) Woolsey, Warren (Kathleen) Woolsey, Stanley (Rhea) Baker, Garth Baker; sisters, Rae Smith, Billie Deen Ellett, Mona Gene Sorenson, Sharon Francisco; sisters-in-law, Viola Baker, Beth Smith; brother-in-law, Dwight (Carol) Williams; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Reed; her parents, Tillman and Alcea; brothers, Bud (Wanda) Woolsey, Wells Woolsey, Alfred (Marva) Baker, Heaps (Ranee) Baker, Dale Baker, Junior Baker, Larry (Lee) Tracey; sisters, Rula (Leavitt) Christensen, Phylis Woolsey, Erma (Van) Kelley; brothers-in-law, Jim Smith, LaDon Ellett, William Francisco; sister-in-law, Remola Woolsey.
Special thanks to E. William LeRoy, MD and Garry Miller, DO for their professional care of Mom, the staff at Elk Ridge Assisted Living, especially Terry Jenkins, for their compassionate care, and for her loving neighbors and friends.
