Jimmy Ray May, Sr. age 70 of Auburn, Kentucky passed away Saturday at his residence. He was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on January 19, 1943 to the late R. D. and Oma Ophelia Futrell May. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Former Sunday School and Discipleship Training Director and Taught Sunday School at the Nursing Home. He was a Wildlife Biologist with the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife for 22 Years and is survived by his:

Wife of 49 Years – Wanda May 2 Sons – Jimmy May Jr. and Stephanie of Louisville, Kentucky Russell May and Candy of Mt. Washington, Kentucky 1 Daughter – Mary Denise Oliver “Cis” and Johnny of Princeton, Kentucky 5 Grandchildren – Shelby May, Samantha May, Jonathan Oliver, Jonah Oliver and Madison May

Funeral Services for Jimmy May Sr. will be conducted Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Liberty Baptist Church in Auburn with Bro. Kenny Chyle, Bro. Leon Eskridge and Dr. Don Mathis officiating and burial to follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel and Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. in the Liberty Baptist Church.

Pallbearers – Jim May Jr., Russell May, Johnny Oliver, Jonathan Oliver, Keith Blewett and Ronnie Creek

The Family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
