Graveside services for Billie Daphne Clayton 91 of Healdton are 3:00 p.m. Wednesday November 20, 2013 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton with Chad Barron officiating. Billie was born to Audie Cleo and Fleta Mae (Rice) Burris on May 7, 1922 in Healdton, Ok. She passed away November 18, 2013.
Billie was raised in Wirt, Ok. and attended school in Dundee, Ok. She married Gordon Clayton November 26, 1938 in Waurika, Ok. Together the shared over 70 years together. Billie was the book keeper for their family business, GM Clayton Welding and Repairs. She retired in the early 1990's. She was a fulltime homemaker, she loved crocheting and cooking, but she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren the most. Billie was a member of the Wirt Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband – her parents – 1 sister Jaunita Parrish and 1 brother Charles (Bunny) Burris She is survived by daughters Jean Faught and husband Dan of Comanche, Ok., - Mary Jackson and husband Grant of Ft. Worth, Tx., - Son Butch Clayton and wife Sandy of Healdton, Ok., - Sister Pam Harvey and sister Gayle Johnson –six Grandchildren Dana, Robin, Mike, Patrick, Dawn and Todd – seven Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
