PEORIA - Max Arnold Tyler , 83, formerly of Peoria, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, in a Corpus Christi hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1930, in Parsons, Tenn.
He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who served his country from 1947 to 1967.
He was a member of East Peoria First Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, one brother and his stepmother.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Tyler ; two brothers; one sister; eight children; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
