Jeffrey A. Cheek, 54, Rochester, passed away at 3:02 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1959, in Hammond the son of Gerald A. and Mary Lejean (Montgerard) Cheek. He was a 1977 graduate of Rochester High School.
Mr. Cheek enjoyed playing basketball, attending rock concerts, following the Indianapolis Colts and was a dedicated supporter of Rochester Zebra sports.
Survivors include his sons, Kyle Wise, Denton, Texas, Adam Cheek, Rochester; daughters Andrea Cheek McKee and husband Jeremy, Rochester, Abby Cheek, Rochester, and Season Carnes and husband Buddy, Oklahoma; grandchildren Adyson Cheek, Brantlyn Cheek, Grayson Johnson, Gavin McKee, Makenna McKee, Kinlee McKee, Griffin McKee, Dreyden Harris, all of Rochester, Sydney Carnes, Cole Carnes, Coy Carnes, Grace Carnes and Alexis Carnes, all of Oklahoma; mother Mary Kats, Palm Bay, Fla.; brother Tim Cheek, Zionsville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin T. Wise and his father.
A celebration of life is to take place at 6:30 p.m. today, Sept. 23, 2014, at Solid Rock Church, Rochester, with Pastor Gary Clingler officiating. Friends may call from 5-6:30 p.m. today at the church.
