Jon Forrest Capps was born in Pineville, Louisiana to JB Sr. and Marilyn Smith Capps.

He leaves behind his three precious children Benjamin Forrest, Leslie Marie & Jon Burke. He is survived by stepmother, Ellyn Jones Hurst and siblings Jaye, Roger, Ronald, JB, jr., Robin, Thomas and David.

Jon’s family was precious to him. He loved the times he spent with his kids, large, extended family and friends. You could always count on him to help a friend or family member in their moment of need. He especially enjoyed cooking and growing vegetables and flowers.

One of his favorite pastimes was fishing. He was proud of his ability to catch his limit when others went home empty handed. Almost as much as he liked catching fish, he also enjoyed smoking them. He tried various recipes until he perfected his personal brand - many of his family and friends know this, as he loved sharing his bounty.
