Mr. Robert Edward Nunn, age 70 of Cana, VA passed away at his home on Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born on December 3, 1943 in Patrick County, VA to the late Walter Lee and Elsie Pack Nunn. Mr. Nunn retired from the N.C. Granite Corporation and was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Libby Leonard Nunn; a daughter, Deana Nunn of Lowgap; a son, Chris Nunn; four grandchildren, Kory Chappell, Kayla Chappell, Savannah Nunn and Austin Nunn; a great granddaughter, Kali Rae; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jimmy East of Claudville and Bonnie and James Turner of Patrick Springs, VA and a brother, Roger Nunn of Stuart. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Chappell; and three brothers, James, Floyd and Calvin Nunn. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. David Sechrist and Rev. Oscar Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Tuesday prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com
