Richard N. Mount, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday,
Sept. 20, 2014, at Major Hospital. He was born July 4, 1937, to James B. Mount and Chloe(Craig)Mount in Shelby County. He married Darlene(O'Bannon)Mount on June 11, 1961,
and she survives. Other survivors include three children;
Douglas R. Mount and wife, Niccole, o Columbia, South Carolina; Deborah L. Cunningham and husband, Chris, of
West Chester, Ohio; and Daniel S. Mount and wife, Lesa, of
Marietta, Georgia; 11 grandchildren, Kelsi, Whitney, Ariana,McKenzie, Spencer, Conner, Emma, Kayleigh, Kara, Cory and Colton; and one great-grandchild, Draven. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Mount moved back to this area 10 years ago after living in Summrville, South Carolina, for over 20 years. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. Mr. Mount worked as a manufacturing engineer at
Robert Bosch of Charlestown, South Carolina, retiring in
2002 after 21 years of service. He was a member of Lewis
Creek Baptist Church in Shelby County. Richard coached Little League baseball for several years and was a band
parent for his children. He enjoyed working in his yard and working crossword puzzels. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Visitation will be from

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Sept. 26, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jon Carlstrom officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Graveside military services conducted by local veterans organizations.
