He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. Uncle Woodley was very active in his club activities until the time of his death. He was a charter member of the Utopian Social Club (1925). He was a drummer in the American Legion Ben Bowie Post #228, Drum and Bugle Corps for many years. He was presented with a lifetime Gold Membership Card. He was a member of St. John Lodge #5 and a member of Egyptian Temple # 5. He also crossed the burning sands to become a 32-degree Mason. Uncle Woodley has two grandchildren, Craig and Page Lewis. His daughter in law Mitzi, and a great-grandchild, Chance. Plus numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great-nieces and nephews and cousins. Uncle Woodley was a real likable gentleman. He was friendly and always had a smile and loved life. "Bowie Bowie" and "Scoop Scoop" his relatives and friends affectionately called him. He has been missed. He is buried at Rosedale Cemetery, Los Angeles, California.
