WATERBURY — Mrs. Sheila L. (McFarland) Harvey, 67, of 198 Boulay Ave., widow of William S. Harvey, died at UConn Medical Center-Farmington on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014.

Mrs. Harvey was born June 25, 1947, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Susie Riddick McFarland. She was raised by her late grandparents, Paul and Nettie Riddick. She was a graduate of Crosby High School, Class of 1965 and attended Post College. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where she was very active, and retired from Waterbury Hospital after 20 years of employment.

She leaves two sons, Scott Mack of Waterbury and Spencer Harvey of North Carolina; one daughter, Samantha (Harvey) Farrow and her husband, Eric, of Waterbury; one sister, Sharon McFarland Silva of Waterbury; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one aunt, Grace Taylor and her husband, Thomas, of Waterbury; one nephew, Adam Marshall; a host of cousins and friends, and one half-sister, Ramona Morgan of Maryland.

Funeral services will be held at Zion Baptist Church, 137 Pearl St., Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Wednesday 9 a.m. until the time of service. Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Family is asked to meet at the church at 9:45 a.m.
