Aged Veteran Mac Elliott Answers Call

Funeral services for Prosser's last Spanish-American War veteran, M. B. (Mac) Elliott, 96, will be Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Elliott died March 12 at the Veterans Hospital in Walla Walla, where he had been for the past three weeks.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors with members of Captain Green post No. 20 of the American Legion.

Mr. Eliott was born Dec. 16, 1878, in Springhill, Kansas to Isaac and Martha Elliott. During his service in the Army he served in the Philippines and later worked in Chicago before coming west

He was married in 1908 to Martha Palmer in Kiona, where the couple lived and he followed his profession of barbering.
