KAHOKA, Mo. — Kenneth Holman, 82, of Kahoka, died Thursday (May 23, 1996) in Keokuk (Iowa) Area Hospital.
Mr. Holman was born April 9, 1914, in Scotland County, a son of Joseph and Nettie McPherson Holman. He married Eva Couchman Feb. 27, 1936, in Rutledge. She died May 21, 1975. He married Beulah Hays Aug. 8, 1986, in Kahoka. She survives.
Mr. Holman farmed near Arbela until retiring in 1987. He worked at various dealerships in Memphis and had operated a vehicle repair shop in Arbela. Mr. Holman enjoyed attending and participating in tractor pulls. He belonged to the former Odd Fellows organization in Memphis and was a member of Kahoka Christian church and its 50-50 Sunday school class. Until the past year, he was active on the board of the Clark County Nutrition Site.
Survivors include a son, Larry Holman of Odessa; a stepson, Jerry Hays of Luray; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dennis (Catherine) Glover of Keokuk; a brother, Nelson Holman of Los Angeles; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step-greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale Holman; a grandson, Brian Holman; three brothers, Bob Brannon and Garland and John Holman; and four sisters, Blanch and Alice McPherson, Edith Knox and Beulah Gotman.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today in Kahoka Christian Church by the Rev. Don Moseley and the Rev. Beryl Cragg. Burial will be in Greensburg Cemetery south of Memphis.
Memorials may be made to Clark County Nutrition Site or Kahoka Christian Church.
