Elaine Blondell Coombs, aged 95 years and 9 months, of Marion, passed away Thursday December 4, 2014, at Willow Gardens Care Center. Private burial was held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life: 10 am Saturday March 14, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, by Reverend Linda Livingston. She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Elaine was born March 9, 1919, in Newhall, Iowa, to John and Josie (Olson) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen and all of her siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St Andrew's Lutheran Church.
