Barbara Brown Beatty, of Simpsonville SC, passed away Sunday, September 15th, 2013. Barbara was a charter member of the Carolinian Debutante Club and a past president of the Women's South Carolina Golf Association. She loved to golf, spend time at the beach and play bridge. She was the wife of the late John Robert Beatty. Surviving are a daughter, Robin Beatty Oliver; a son, John Robert Beatty, Jr. (Sheila); and four grandchildren, Stephen Beatty Oliver, Haley Ray Oliver, Blake Patrick Cook, and John Robert Beatty III. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Holly Tree Country Club Clubhouse. A private burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Tee of Greenville, PO Box 817, Greenville, SC 29602. (www.thefirstteeofgreenville.org)The Mackey Mortuary.
