Chassie E. Lehner 72, passed away Sunday, October 5th, in Abilene. She was born March 12, 1942 in Emporia, the daughter of Joe and Vesta (Sill) Foster. Growing up in Emporia, she attended local schools. On December 31, 1961 she was married to Lawrence Lehner. They made their home in Abilene until moving to Talmage in 1966. Chassie had been employed by the Best Western Presidents Inn and Duckwall Alco General office. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Bartrella Atwell.

The family has chosen cremation. A memorial graveside will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 10th, at the Prairiedale Cemetery with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 PM Thursday, October 9th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Dickinson County Hospice. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
