Lonnie married Myrtle Witt on April 6, 1953 in Morristown, Minnesota.
Lonnie served 5 years in the Navy and 21 years in the Air Force. Upon retirement from the Military he worked at the VA Data Processing Center. He is a member of VFW Post 3377 Manchaca and the American Legion Post 83.
He is survived by his wife Myrtle, son Bruce Roberts and wife Ronda, Grandchildren Nathan Gauger and wife Christine Lisa Gauger, Sarah and Chad Johnson, and great grandchild Nicholas Gauger.
