Herbert A. Driver, age 78 of Temple, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 04, 2014. He was born October 13, 1935 in Haralson County to the late Luther Lemuel Driver and Alice Farmer Driver. He retired from Gunn Metal Fabricators where he worked as a shop manager. He was a member of North Point Baptist Church and was a member of the Silver Saints Sunday school class. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Herschel Driver and Clyde Driver; and three sisters, Lois Bell, Omie Sanders, and Bernice Cole. Survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth Parks Driver of Temple; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon H. and Christine Driver of The Rock, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Frederick Baines of Carrollton; sister, Vera Busby of Cedartown; three grandchildren, Brittany and Joe Cobb of Jacksonville, Alabama, Elizabeth Anne Baines of Carrollton, and Marlie Ann Driver of The Rock, Georgia; and one great grandson, Wesley Yarbrough of Jacksonville, Alabama. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, October 07, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Bennett, Rev. Tony Thompson. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Lee Wimberly performing graveside service. Pallbearers will be Harvey Roberts, Charlie McCrary, Joe Cobb, Barry Driver, Bill Watts, and Corey Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Silver Saints Sunday school class.
