Mrs. Blalock, 89, Columbia; Rites This Afternon
Mrs. Alice Vesta Blalock, 89, of Columbia, died Saturday morning in Columbia Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Jackson Blalock.
She was a native of Monroe County, Ga., and had made her home here for 65 years. She was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William J. Murray Jr., of New York, a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Wallace Friday.
The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Haselden, 1336 Adger Rd.
