Our beloved mother and grandmother, Betty Rae Lockhart, age 88, returned to her Heavenly Father on October 3, 2014.

She was born December 18, 1925 in Roosevelt to Olaf Earl Glenn and Mary Alois Pope.

She graduated from Park City High School and married Glen B. Lockhart in 1943; later divorced.

She had many gifts and talents and an exceeding love for her family. As a young girl, she mastered the clarinet and she loved to dance. She has always been very creative and loved sharing her creations with others.

She will forever be remembered for her love of Christmas and her desire to always be "on the go."

She served faithfully in many positions in the LDS Church and had a strong testimony of her savior Jesus Christ.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her children, Glen E. Lockhart (Hazel), Sheri L. Peterson, Deena L. Shea (Michael), Bradley G. Lockhart (Ghyslaine), and Leesa A. Garner (Rob); thirteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jack and Ronald Glenn.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Tenth Ward Chapel, 7645 South 3200 West, West Jordan. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley, 13001 South 3600 West, Riverton.
