R. W. Bolton, one of the county's oldest and best citizens, died at the home of his son, Arthur Bolton, on Georgia mountain, Monday morning. Burial took place at the Manchester cemetery this morning at ten o'clock.
Mr. Bolton was 88 years old and formerly lived at Manchester. He had been a resident of the county many years and was highly respected by all who knew him.
Three sons, two daughters and other relatives and friends are left to mourn his passing.
Born in England. Civil War Service: Enlisted as 3rd Corporal 4th Regiment, Alabama Cavalry (Russell's) Company I, Confederate States of America on Sept. 22, 1862 at Guntersville, Al.
