Alex Betz Funeral Tuesday Afternoon
Alex Betz, 58, a resident of this community for the past 50 years, died Saturday morning following a long illness. He would have been 59 Sunday.
Prior to his retirement as a result of ill health two years ago, Betz had farmed southeast of Loveland. He had lived on the farm since he began working with his father as a youngster.
On Feb. 27, 1921, he was married to the former Katherine Bath in Loveland.
Betz is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Ivan Harris of 717 W. Fourth st., a granddaughter, Sandra Harris; two sisters, Mrs. John Honstein of Eaton and Mrs. Henry Schlager of Loveland, a brother, John, and a half-brother, Jake Betz of Loveland.
The deceased was a member of the Congregational church, the B.P.O.E. and Moose lodges.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Congregational church, with the Rev. A. Brenning officiating. Interment will be in Loveland Burial park.
Kibbey’s Funeral home will be in charge of arrangements.
